Father's Day

Had a good Father's Day today, even though I don't have a father to celebrate with anymore :( My mom and I went out for lunch and then to the movies to see "The Proposal." It's definitely more of a chick flick but it is really funny!!! The theater was packed and we were all laughing our heads off :) I actually laughed so hard a couple of times that I had tears in my eyes! Definitely worth the price of admission.

Took a few pictures today and thought I would post them. The first one is of my wave petunias on the deck. I have four planters on the railing and to say they're happy is an understatement! They are thriving with daily watering and weekly fertilizer and I just love looking out onto the deck and seeing these guys taking over :)

The little blob you see in the middle of the picture is a tree frog who I caught climbing on my window. He's a cute little sucker :) I took a ton of pictures but just couldn't get a good one. It was already dark outside so I was having to use either the camera flash or try to bounce some light onto him with a lamp. Neither worked, unfortunately, so you'll have to take my word that he was a cute little sucker :)

Here's a little bit better shot of my backyard bunny. At least you can tell it's a bunny in this picture! I had a much better shot of her but by the time I grabbed my camera and made it back to the window, she had spooked at something and was scampering across the yard further away from me. I'll get a really good shot eventually - she doesn't know who she's dealing with!

I'm a little sad to report that I'm concerned that my bird has abandoned her nest. She sat on it religiously for a week or two but I haven't seen her out there at all this past week. I'm hoping that she may be sitting on it at night when it cools down so I'm going to leave it alone and see if anything happens. There's nothing I can do so I'm trying not to worry too much about it.
