Haven't had much to post on the blog recently. The most exciting thing going here are the kids and they've been tied up with basketball for the last little bit. Hopefully I'll get to see them more now. Daniel and Missy just went on his 3rd grade field trip to Charleston this week and Leanne is tied up this weekend with a church thing. I'm flying to San Francisco next week and trying to figure out what to take to wear. It's a work thing so no touristy stuff for me - I've been there before though. Maybe I'll try to find the pictures from the last trip and post some on here when I get back. We were originally supposed to be there for 2.5 days but that's gotten cut down to 1.5 days. Really not worth going all that way for and I tried to get out of it, but no such luck. My poor mom is taking care of Boo while I'm gone and she's a nervous wreck about it - she doesn't want to kill her and then have me come after her. And I would. But, I think Boo's health is stable enough to survive my being gone for a short time. I'm not sure my mom's health is stable enough to take care of her though :)
Speaking of my mom, the economy has hit her workplace - they supply parts to the auto makers. Her company has been doing everything it can to keep its doors open - letting temp workers go, cutting out some fringe benefits, working one, shutting down the next, etc., but this week, they started offering severance packages to employees and if enough don't take the packages, they'll have to look at layoffs. They appear to be targeting the employees that haven't been been there for very long (2 years or less) but anyone can take it. It's not feasible at this point for my mom to take the package (she's only 60) so she's going to hang on and see what happens. Just keep her in your thoughts if you will.
I hear my dryer calling me . . .
