Dan received an honorary doctorate degree this morning from Anderson University. The ceremony was held outside under the old oak trees on the front lawn. The processional was led by a horse and rider followed by the school flags, faculty, staff and students. We had a luncheon afterwards and the food was actually really good! We had stuff olives for an appetizer and Daniel sucked the stuff out first, ripped it open if he didn't think he got everything out and then ate the olive. I corrected him and told him that this wasn't the setting to be eating that way so he was a little more discreet about it after that. I was just thinking about it a little bit ago and realized that if I liked olives, I would have wanted to eat them that way too! Anyhow, a good time was had by all. It was nice ending to the week for the Cooper family after having to bury Gramps on Tuesday. Thanks to Leanne for shooting the video that I pulled these snapshots from :)
