I've been extremely stressed out and anti-social since Christmas so this is the first thing of note that I've done in awhile. My best friend Chad's mom, Peggy, just celebrated her 75th birthday and as a surprise, Chad and I took her to Biltmore House today (she had never been). It's one of my most favorite places to go and I've been going since as long as I can remember. If you're ever in the area, you have to go. Google it and prepare to ooh and aah. They're opening four new rooms in April so my mom and I will be going back for sure!

This is a longstanding family tradition. The first time you go to Biltmore, you have to have your picture taken with one of the lions in front of the house. Even if you really don't want to:) Now, that doesn't mean that you can't take a picture on subsequent visits :)
